DayZ is no longer banned in Australia - rodriguezbutibill

The Australian Classification Board has immediately rated the qualified version of DayZ as a MA15+, after developer Bohemia Interactive removed the marijuana conjoint armoury item that would restore players' wellness (via Kotaku Australia).

Last week, Fin Star Games — DayZ's physical sales distributer — applied for a release, which meant that the ACB reviewed the physical pun's content and rate it as per its own guidelines. It was discovered that a sport in the energetic version would let players heal up using a marijuana joint, and the Classification Board wasn't a fan of that. DayZ was argued to 'depict, give tongue to or other than deal with matters of sex, drug misuse operating room addiction, law-breaking, cruelty, violence or revolting or obscene phenomena in much a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and properness generally accepted aside reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified.' Zoinks.

Bohemia Interactive elected to modify the worldwide version of DayZ in order to align with the Board's requirements, and then that Australian players wouldn't be excluded. We weren't fated what would be changed and how long that would take, but in real time, Kotaku Australia has patched that the Compartmentalisation Board site was updated. A 'altered' DayZ is straight off formally deemed convulsion for physical and digital distribution in Commonwealth of Australi, and information technology shows that drug use does not appear in the crippled.

At least there's no such matter atomic number 3 bad publicity. DayZ is out now on Xbox Combined, PC, and PlayStation 4.
